Islay Brown    
 

Manager of the new Restorative Justice Centre in IPP.  In her previous role Islay managed the Courts Pilot on restorative justice at Auckland District court for six years, this involved developing systems in the Court, recruiting and training facilitators, and monitoring the Provider groups that where contracted to the Ministry of Justice. Islay’s had a wide experience in the private and public sectors.  Other relevant positions include Victim Adviser at the Auckland District Court and a Probation Officer at various offices throughout New Zealand (including South Auckland) for a period of nearly 12 years.  Islay is a “southern mainland woman” who is very much a pro Aucklander. She is also a grandma to two Auckland pre schoolers, Mackenzie and Jackson.  Spare time activities after being grandma include boating, fishing and walking around the 48 accessible Auckland volcanoes. (She cannot mention the other activities).
