UK Perspective on Metropolitan Governance Seminar  
 

 

We are privileged to have a presentation from Chris Game of INLOGOV*, one of the UK's most experienced writers and researchers on local government.  Among many achievements Chris authored the comprehensive Local Government in the United Kingdom (2006).

Chris's presentation will cover a number of contemporary themes in English local government including the management of a large local authority (his home town of Birmingham, is the UK's largest local authority), elected mayors, political management and change, governance and "partnership working".

This is the third of several seminars the Local Government Centre is presenting on aspects of metropolitan governance with a strong focus on the Auckland region.
