Robin Hambleton November 07 Seminar

The AUT Local Government Centre was fortunate to secure the services of British expert - Robin Hambleton, Professor of City Leadership with the University of the West of England, Bristol, for a short seminar in November 2007.

Robin has worked with many European, American and British cities which are grappling with the stresses of city governance and appropriate local infrastructure whilst balancing growth and democracy.
His book: Governing Cities in a Global Era (2007) illustrates the many and different versions of what city governance can be internationally. A number of colleagues with an interest in international examples of best (and worst) city governance and leadership practice attended our seminar and were richly rewarded with Robin's insights. Please see the attached pdf for Robin's presentation.
